The course provides an insight into the history of edible mushrooms, its nutritional and medicinal value. The various cultivation processes with respect to the different  mushroom variety will be covered. The various diseases, processing and storing of mushrooms are also discussed. The international trade and economic backgrounds of mushroom cultivation is also shared during the sessions. Field visit included.
